Can pizza in Pakistan be good? (an honest review).

Going with the flow, I’m moving from my post about cheese paratha to another food-related topic: pizza!

Our most memorable pizza in Pakistan was found at a franchise called Broadway Pizza.

As it turned out, Broadway Pizza can make a great pizza! It was a little odd because the crust of the pizza was filled with sweet cheese and the entire thing tasted like curry! (I must note that Domino’s pizza was very much the same in this respect!)

It took a specific effort to eat our two pizzas to avoid leftovers (a little incongruous with my giant family!). As unusual as it was for us, we all felt proud of our accomplishment! Eating new things isn’t always easy!

The staff brought us the receipt laden with a double charge on a garlic cheese bread appetizer—as if they had given us two (which, to our relief, they hadn’t). My parents pointed out the issue and explained what had happened, using hand motions and photographic evidence (we had a picture from before). The waiter, after understanding, scrambled to fix the issue in a way we hadn’t anticipated. Upon being presented with another cheese bread, we all stared at each other, barely able to restrain peals of laughter.

In the end, we kept from laughing (too much) and managed to finish off those last pieces of cheese bread without too much trouble.

So, even though Broadway Pizza wasn’t our favorite flavor-wise as Americans, the staff certainly goes the extra mile to make the customers happy—even if they don’t know it!
