Bloodlines of Fire Cover art Staggers writer…

After I finished my novel Bloodlines of Fire (which I hope to chop down into a novella and publish), my mother drafted up some covers for it! I’m thrilled, and I had to share them here for you to see.

Diving into the world of covers, I’ve got to say that I judge each and every book I get by the cover. I mean, against the common adage “Don’t judge a book by its cover”, I actually gauge the quality of books by the art put into it. If I’m on your blog, and you’re talking about your book, truth is, I’m far more likely to be seriously about you and your work if your cover art, blog in general, and even the fonts on your blog carry some quality that gives me confidence about the credibility of the artist.

So… I’m debating which of these three covers is the best!

My mom made these and I personally love them all. I’m thrilled at the idea of the final cover, and these will hopefully get me through the tough editing ahead, and, if I choose not to edit it, they will make some great wall decoration and serve as motivation for me to keep writing.

Now, if you’re interested, I have the first chapter of Bloodlines of Fire on my blog right here.

Until next time,

With a spark and a flame,

Indy.
