“Lovelight” by Citizens.
This song was my absolute go-to favorite song for a while–and I’ll bet you’ll like it too.
Citizens is a Christian band, sounding somewhere between a soft rock (does that even exist?) and Andrew Peterson’s music–almost like the Gray Havens? Whether you dig rock, or pretty much any other type of music, chances are, you’ll be over-listening to this song too after a first listen.
So what is lovelight? It’s defined as: a look of favor in a person’s eyes.
God’s favor is on those who seek Him.
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you.
For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield. Psalms 5:11-12
